About Council Meetings
Due to the Provincewide Lockdown, Council Meeting will be by Zoom only. You may join by telephone or video using the link in the Agenda once posted in the “Agendas” section.
Council Meetings are held the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 9:00 a.m. and are at the Mayo Community Centre located at 66 Mayo Lake Road. If there is a change in date or time a notice will be advertised on the Township website.
Members of the public are welcome to attend council meetings (excluding In-Camera Sessions) however, only during public forum and person(s) with delegation status are permitted to speak or address council when meetings are in session.
If an individual(s) would like delegation status for a Council Meeting they must contact the Clerk. All documents related to the delegation status must be submitted to the Clerk no later than the Thursday prior to the Council Meeting date. This allows Council members time to review all documents before Council Meeting.
What is an In-Camera Session?
Municipal Councils, must meet behind closed doors on occasion to deal with certain matters. For example, if a municipality is being sued or dealing with a labour relations issue, then it is appropriate that they be able to do so at an In-Camera Session.
