This notice is for anyone proposing to be a candidate in the 2022 municipal and school board elections on October 24, 2022. Nominations and registration period begin on Monday May 2, 2022 and closes on Friday, August 19, 2022.

Nominations for the positions listed below must be filed on the prescribed form available at your municipal or township office either in person or by your agent, with the Returning Officer of the appropriate municipality or township during that office’s normal office hours Monday to Thursday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The required filing fee of the Head of Council is $200.00 and all other offices are $100.00 (cash, debit, certified cheque or money order made payable to the appropriate municipality or township must accompany the signed form).

Candidates must not spend or raise any funds for their election campaign until the registration/nomination form has been filed.  Full details on the procedures to be followed may be obtained from the appropriate Municipal or Township Clerk.
